In a Nutshell

My name is Vaggelis Douros (Βαγγέλης Δούρος) and I was born and raised in Greece. Vaggelis is pronounced like this.

Since November 2016, I work as a post-doctoral researcher at the Institute for Networked Systems, RWTH Aachen University.

Previously, I spent one year working as a post-doctoral researcher at Orange Labs in Paris, France, affiliated also with the Laboratory of Information, Networking and Communication Sciences (LINCS). During this year, I collaborated with Dr. Salah Eddine Elayoubi, Dr. Eitan Altman, and Associate Prof. Yezekael Hayel.

On December 2014, I earned my Ph.D. at the Department of Informatics of the Athens University of Economics and Business (AUEB), working under the guidance of Prof. George C. Polyzos and Assistant Prof. Stavros Toumpis in the Mobile Multimedia Laboratory. Prior to this, I obtained my B.Sc. in Informatics and Telecommunications from the University of Athens in 2006 and my M.Sc. in Computer Science from AUEB in 2008.

My current research interests include network economics, economics of caching, and game-theoretic applications in future network architectures. You can find more about me and my research in my personal webpage.
