Institute for Networked Systems

Institute for Networked Systems is jointly directed by Prof. Petri Mähönen and Prof. Marina Petrova. The research in the institute focuses on communications systems and networks, particularly in the wireless domain. The two main research groups operating in the institute are the networks & systems group and the self-organized networks group. The mission of INETS is apart from research, educating the next generation of leaders in communications engineering and network science. 


09.03.2017 | The best paper award from DySPAN'17

The paper authored by iNETS team and Dr. de Vries from the University of Colorado, Boulder, has won the best paper award of IEEE DySPAN conference. The lead author and the presenter for the work was Ms Andra Voicu, and the paper was titled "Analysis Wi-Fi/LTE Coexistence to Demonstrate the Value of Risk-Informed Interference Assessment".

17.02.2017 | M.Sc. thesis talk on 17th of February

Ms Pooja Karanjekar presents results from her M.Sc. thesis titled "Empirical Performance Analysis of the CoAP Protocol for IoT Wireless Networks". The work is a part of dense networks programme of Self-Organized Network group. The presentation will take place on 17th of February at 11:00 a.m. in Seminar Room of iNETS.

02.02.2017 | Two thesis talks on 2nd of February

On February 2nd we have a double thesis talk day. First, Mr Gaurav Suman presents his M.Sc. thesis results at 14:00. The thesis is titled "Implementation and Performance Analysis of QUIC Protocol for Wireless Networks". This is followed by a B.Sc. thesis talk by Mr Philipp Geuer at 15:00 titled "Short-Range Radar Based Event Recognition."
